Dwell is preparing for launch. Live payments remain closed while the operator’s legal identity and payment arrangements are finalized.
Scope and operator
This policy describes Dwell’s website and Claude Code client. VS Code, Cursor and Codex integrations are coming soon. Initial availability is intended for US adults. The operator and business contact address are identified above when live payments are available. Contact support@dwellmonetize.com about privacy, account access, deletion or an export.
Account and payment information
Dwell stores account identifiers, email, display name, device records, connection-key hashes, consent records, campaigns, payment references, earnings and payout history. Supabase handles authentication. Stripe processes payments and connected-account onboarding, including payment, identity, bank and tax information under its own policies. Dwell stores Stripe references and eligibility status; it does not ask you to enter bank or card details directly into Dwell’s database.
Attention telemetry
Clients report the ad and device identifiers, visibility duration, presence age and confirmation, focus information, timestamps, and the result of verification. Human-input events are reduced to local activity timestamps. The CLI receives Claude status-line input and uses tool metadata locally to render the existing status context; it does not upload code, prompt text, file contents or browsing history for advertising. This telemetry measures eligibility and supports fraud review; it is not eye tracking.
Network and local storage
Our hosting, authentication and payment providers necessarily process network requests, including IP addresses, and may retain security logs. Dwell uses a keyed hash of the request IP for short-lived abuse limits. The website uses browser storage for authentication and preferences. The CLI stores a usable connection credential in a file restricted to your OS user; previous experimental editor connections used the editor’s secret storage. The server stores a hash of that credential. During device pairing, a raw key is held briefly for the requesting tool to claim, then cleared. Do not share your local configuration or secrets.
How information is used and shared
Dwell uses data to authenticate users, connect devices, deliver campaigns, verify views, prevent abuse, maintain financial records, provide support and comply with obligations. Advertisers receive campaign totals rather than viewer account identities. Service providers process information necessary to operate the service. Dwell does not sell account information or use cross-site retargeting pixels. Links in ads open third-party sites whose practices are outside Dwell’s control.
Retention
Account and device data is retained while needed to provide and secure the service. Impression, consent, transaction and payout records may be retained for fraud investigation, disputes, tax and other legal obligations. There is currently no automatic 90-day deletion or aggregation promise. A deletion request is reviewed against those obligations, and records that must be retained may be restricted rather than erased.
Your choices and requests
You can disconnect a device from your dashboard, sign out in the installed Dwell client, or uninstall it to stop new attention reports from that device. Signing out of the website alone does not disconnect installed clients. Contact support from your account email to request access, correction, an export, deletion or a review of a privacy issue. Dwell verifies requests and responds within applicable legal deadlines; retained financial records and third-party provider records may be subject to separate requirements. Do not send passwords, connection keys or identity documents by ordinary support email.
Security and children
Dwell uses HTTPS in production, short-lived signed view tokens, access controls and restricted server operations. No system can guarantee absolute security. Dwell is intended for adults and does not knowingly offer earnings accounts to children. Contact support if you believe a child’s information has been collected or you discover a security issue.
Changes
The version date identifies the current policy. Material changes will be communicated as required. Additional countries or data uses require a review and updates before being enabled.
