Eligibility has clear rules.
A view needs at least five seconds of visibility and recent human presence. These signals help check eligibility; they cannot prove someone’s gaze. AI activity alone does not keep you verified.
How much can I earn?
You receive exactly 50% of the prepaid ad price for each eligible view, excluding tax. For example, a $5 block of 1,000 views pays $0.0025 per view. Earnings depend on funded ads, eligibility and usage limits; there is no guaranteed hourly rate. House promotions and sandbox activity do not create withdrawable earnings.
What makes a view eligible?
The line needs at least five seconds of visibility and recent human presence. Human input or an explicit confirmation renews a five-minute presence window. A reminder appears in the final 30 seconds, and verification remains available after expiry. AI activity alone does not renew the window. These signals and server checks establish eligibility; they do not prove someone looked at the ad.
How do I confirm I’m still here?
In a supported terminal, Cmd-click or Ctrl-click the verification control once. Its local browser page automatically confirms your presence for five minutes; return to Claude Code when it says you’re verified. If terminal links are unsupported, use the command fallback. The setup guide explains the terminal options.
Does Dwell read my code or prompts?
Your code, prompt text and file contents are not uploaded for ad verification. Dwell receives limited data such as ad visibility, presence age and device identifiers, alongside the account and payment information needed to run the service. The privacy policy explains what is stored and which providers are involved.
When can I withdraw?
Eligible live earnings can be withdrawn from $10 through Stripe Connect after account onboarding and any required review. A completed transfer reaches your connected Stripe balance; bank settlement is separate. Initial viewer eligibility is US residents aged 18 or older. Live payments remain subject to Dwell’s launch setup and Stripe eligibility.
What does an advertiser buy?
Whole blocks of 1,000 eligible views at a fixed prepaid bid. Bids start at $2.50 per block and purchases start at $25. Higher eligible bids have priority, subject to approval, pacing and available viewers. Undelivered inventory has no scheduled expiry. Prepayments do not include a voluntary cancellation or refund option; legal and provider-required remedies still apply.
Can I turn Dwell off?
Yes. Disconnect a device from your dashboard or follow the uninstall steps in the setup guide. Removing the sponsored line stops future earning on that device. The Claude Code integration backs up and composes with your existing status-line configuration.
